Zénith on ICI Télé: here are the 24 artists who will compete for the crown

The 24 artists who will try to seduce the four generations in the new musical variety « Zénith », with Véronique Cloutier at the controls, were unveiled on Tuesday. Among all these names, we find in particular Laurence Jalbert, Benoît McGinnis, Damien Robitaille and Lunou Zucchini.

This meeting presented live, whose musical theme will be signed by Ariane Moffatt, will be installed every Thursday evening on ICI Télé, from January.

These 24 artists, or six per generation, will have to prepare a great number in order to obtain the greatest number of votes among the 100 members of the public, who will act as judges. The latter will be divided into four groups and will be headed, as we already know, by a captain, namely Normand Brathwaite (boomers), Élyse Marquis (X), Félix-Antoine Tremblay (Y) and Claudia Bouvette (Z).

Here are the 24 artists:

For boomers (born before 1968): Johanne Blouin, Martin Fontaine, Patsy Gallant, Laurence Jalbert, Joël Legendre and Kim Richardson.

For X (born between 1968 and 1980): Jean-François Breau, Kathleen Fortin, Jonas, Benoît McGinnis, David Savard and Guylaine Tanguay.

For the Ys (born between 1981 and 1993): Véronique Claveau, Matt Lang, Yama Laurent, Damien Robitaille, Jason Roy-Léveillée and Annie Villeneuve.

For Z (born after 1993): Ludovick Bourgeois, Gabrielle Fontaine, Maëva Grelet, Éléonore Lagacé, PETiTOM and Lunou Zucchini.

The first round will decide between the best numbers. Thus, the three artists who will obtain the highest scores of their generation will go directly to the semi-finals, according to what has been explained. The two artists whose scores will place them in 4th and 5th place in their generation will have to take part in the quarter-finals. Finally, the artist who obtains the lowest score of his generation will be eliminated.

Four artists from the same generation will cross swords in the semi-finals. One artist per generation will make their way to the final, which will crown the big winner of the season.

Produced by KOTV, the musical variety « Zénith » will be directed by Daniel Vigneault and presented in January on ICI Télé.
