Zac Brown Band says Vancouver show canceled after team members turned away at border

VANCOUVER — The Zac Brown Band has issued an apology for canceling its show in Vancouver, saying some members of the band were turned away at the border.

The band released a statement on Facebook hours before a Friday night performance at Rogers Arena as part of their Out In the Middle tour.

Brown says some members of the team had charges from more than a decade ago removed from their records and entered Canada regularly during that time, including for just two shows this year.

He says that each time, the band members were at the mercy of a single border agent who decided who could enter the country.

Brown says the group is a family that pulls together to support each other and would never leave anyone behind.

Rogers Arena says on its website that spectators will be reimbursed for tickets that go on sale starting in January.
