Young teenager behind two sexual assaults in 24 hours in Scarborough

An unidentified teenager is wanted after two women were sexually assaulted within 24 hours in the same area of ​​Scarborough last week.

Toronto police said the first incident occurred along the Gatineau Hydroelectric Corridor Trail, just west of Birchmount Road. – north of Eglinton Ave. E. – shortly before 6 p.m.

“A woman was running east on the Gatineau Hydroelectric Corridor Trail between boul. Crockford. and Birchmount Road. (when) an unknown teenager blocked his way with his bicycle”, det.-const. Brett Niezen said in a statement released Saturday.

« The teenager then sexually assaulted the woman, » he said.

Less than 24 hours later, around 5 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a second sexual assault along the same trail – this time just east of Birchmount Rd.

“A woman was cycling on the Gatineau Hydroelectric Corridor Trail between Birchmount Road. and Kennedy Rd.,” Niezen said. « A teenager followed and stopped the woman, asking her to show him an ’11-finger Tik Tok trick’. »

« The boy then sexually assaulted the woman, » he added.

The boy is described as between 13 and 15 years old, around 5ft 5in tall, with a slim build and short brown hair. In both cases, he was wearing a red t-shirt, black shorts, and a distinctive brown camouflage-type backpack, and he was riding a dark-colored mountain bike.
