In just one week, Éric Tessier’s film, scripted in collaboration with François Archambault, amassed receipts of $306,950.

Starring Julie Le Breton, France Castel and David Boutin, among others, the feature film, currently showing on 73 screens, tells the story of Édouard (Rémy Girard), a retired public figure and history professor, who begins to lose her memory and who will be placed in the care of Bérénice (Karelle Tremblay), a somewhat rebellious and lost young girl.

Even if he feels he still has a lot to say, his meeting with the young woman will lead Édouard to revisit a passage from his personal history that he had chosen to forget.

Released last weekend, the film got off to a remarkable start. It obtains the second position for the best start – counted during its first weekend – among Quebec films released in 2022, according to CINEAC, which compiles the receipts for all films for all screens in Quebec. « Confession » by Luc Picard sits at the top of this list, while « Norbourg » and « Goodbye happiness » follow the ball.

“You will remember me” is presented in the official selection at Cinémania, in the Competition — Films from Quebec section. The film also won the Grand Prix Hydro-Québec, awarded by the public, at the 41st International Film Festival in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, last week.

  • Distributed by Les Films Opale, “You will remember me” is playing everywhere in Quebec.
