Woman fights for her life after Fort York Condo stabbing

A man is in custody after a woman was seriously injured in a stabbing at a condo in the Fort York neighborhood early Wednesday.

Toronto police said officers responded to Fleet and Bastion streets. – west of Bathurst St. and Lake Shore Blvd. W. – shortly before 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of two people arguing in an apartment building.

They arrived to find a woman with life-threatening injuries.

« Victim sustained multiple stab wounds, » police tweeted, adding that she was rushed to hospital via emergency rush.

Police say a suspect who fled the scene was arrested soon after.

The man was reportedly taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
