Winnipeg police identify vehicle of interest in St. Boniface hit-and-run

Winnipeg police say they are searching for a vehicle suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run in St. Boniface on Friday afternoon, leaving a woman seriously injured.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, was taken to hospital in an unstable condition after being struck by a vehicle on Marion and Archibald streets. It was later upgraded to stable.
The intersection was closed as investigators examined the incident site, according to a news release on Sunday. Investigators believe the woman was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a red Dodge Ram truck traveling northbound.
The vehicle has not yet been found, the statement said, and the department’s traffic division continues to investigate.
