The Winnipeg Jets have announced that 2022 first-round pick Brad Lambert has agreed to terms on a three-year entry-level contract.

Lambert was Winnipeg’s second pick in the first round of entering the 2022 NHL in early July in Montreal, finishing 30th overall.

The 18-year-old Finnish native had a strong training camp and strong preseason performance before being released by the Manitoba Moose of the AHL on Oct. 7.

According to CapFriendly, Lambert’s contract includes a cap of US$950,000, a playoff bonus of US$250,000 for each of the three years as well as an annual signing bonus of US$95,000 for an average annual value. of US$1.2 million.

CapFriendly also says Lambert will receive a minor league salary of US$82.5,000 while he remains a member of the Manitoba Moose. Its CHL rights are held by the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League.

The Moose will open their 2022-23 American Hockey League regular season schedule Saturday afternoon in a 2 p.m. CT showdown at the Canada Life Center against the Rockford IceHogs.
