Why this former Democrat voted Republican for the first time this election

I remember as a child my mom would say to me, “You are the company you keep,” emphasizing the importance of associating with people who match your values. For nearly a decade, I associated with the Democratic Party because I felt its values ​​aligned with mine. Being a democrat was part of my political identity; I even felt comfortable with the mantra “Vote blue, no matter who”.

But the Democratic Party I once supported is unrecognizable, and my political association with it is no longer. Sunday, for the first time in my life, I voted Republican and I did so without hesitation.

We often talk about Americans having common values ​​and principles, sometimes to the point of not discussing them because they are so obvious. Two of these principles were not to harm children and not to sexualize children. They have never been politically debated because no one in their right mind would oppose them – yet my old party is, which makes them the hill on which to die under the illusion to be progressive.

Although child mutilation is an extremely unpopular position, Democrats have cemented themselves in this hardline radical position and no longer care what moderate Democrats and independents think of it.

Even President Joe Biden says the way forward for children with dysphoria is to pump them with experimental pharmaceuticals and surgical mutilation. The Democrats want you to believe this is healing through mutilation, and if you don’t support this progressive form of healing, you’re a fanatic. I’d rather they think I’m a fanatic than co-sign the policies of immoral freaks.

Traditional democrats now see socially progressive concepts as feasible for all instead of fashionable for the few. They went from pro-choice to pro-abortion, two totally different things. They went from « It’s a tough decision for a woman to make » to presenting the crowd « Shout out your abortion ».

I believe in the liberal value of accepting people for who they are, but they have targeted our children to expose them to radical gender ideology and sex talk under the guise of accepting people who are under Rainbow.

Rhode Island State Senator Tiara Mack, for example, openly advocates teaching “pleasure-based sex” in the classroom. The average American didn’t ask teachers to teach our underage children the pleasures of masturbation and sex. What is she thinking?

This party is now tainted by progressive perverts, and even moderate Democratic politicians have lost their moral compass and promote this unpopular boutique vision for America. When you rise up to protect your children from perversion, the Democrats have made it their mission to castigate you as a fanatic, a white supremacist or a domestic terrorist.

Democrats have sold their souls to progressives and they have sold their liberal principles to corporate America and the security state. They said your job was non-essential and your business could not operate while allowing hundreds of people at a time to enter every Walmart, Costco and Target across the country. Pay our bills and feed our children is essential – I don’t care what any politician says.

If you didn’t lose your job, Democratic politicians and liberal media pressured your employer to create a hostile environment to force you to choose between an injection and a job. These are the same people who said before the 2020 election that they would never trust a vaccine launched by the Trump administration.

It was the hostile environment of the Democratic stronghold of New York that encouraged my wife’s employer to jeopardize my family’s economy if she did not get vaccinated. It was Democrat Joe Biden who tried to leverage the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to make my job a nightmare if I didn’t get vaccinated. It was the relentless campaigning of the Democrats and liberal media that caused someone I care about to receive the second booster and die two weeks later battling a blood clot near his heart.

The party of liberalism is officially dead during COVID – and resurrected as a party of authoritarian zombies out to control your speech, have you arrested if you don’t comply with its arbitrary mandates, and have you investigated by the feds. as terrorists if you vocalized your displeasure with your school board.

My mother was right: you are the company you keep. And I want no association with this version of the Democratic Party. Today, I’m an independent who has no choice but to vote Republican until the stench of the Democratic Party subsides.

I cannot support an antinatal, pro-lockdown, pro-perversion party. This is not the company I want to keep.
