George Clooney is opening up about his decision to raise his children on a farm in France rather than Los Angeles.
In a recent interview with Squire Magazine, the two-time Oscar winner gave a look at what his life is like outside of Hollywood, with his wife, Amal Clooney, and their children, twins Ella and Alexander.
“We are very lucky,” Jay Kelly Actor said. “You know, we live on a farm in France. A lot of my life growing up was on a farm, and when I was a kid I hated the whole idea. But now for them it’s like – they’re not on their iPads, you know? They have dinner with adults and have to take their meals. They have a much better life.”
Clooney continued: “I was worried about raising our kids in LA, in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to shake right back to life. France – they don’t care about fame. I don’t want them walking around worried about the paparazzi. I don’t want them to be compared to someone else’s famous kids.”

By discussing with The Hollywood Reporter While premiering at the PIC New York Film Festival in late September, Clooney reflected on not living a life of regret, which is opposed to his character Jay Kelly, a movie star who embarks on a journey through self-discovery.
“When I read the script, the two things I thought were I knew how to play the guy, but I was also thrilled that in real life I hadn’t lived a life of regret, which is what this guy is dealing with at 64,” he said at the time. “So I was excited that I was going to get a chance to explore it, but I was also excited that I wasn’t going to live that life.”
