The rise of artificial intelligence also results in high demand for fiber optics and connectivity products within the data centers. When UBS increased the Corning action to a neutral level in early September, analysts noted that modern AI data centers require four to 16 times more fiber content than previous generation data centers. This is one of the main reasons why Corning activities are booming and the title has increased by around 80 % this year. The company is also a huge Apple supplier. In August, Apple announced a commitment of $ 2.5 billion to Corning to produce all the protection glasses for iPhones and Apple watches in the Corning manufacturing plant in Harrodsburg, in Kentucky.
