District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser is slammed as a ‘not in my backyard’ hypocrite for complaining about the influx of asylum seekers using homeless shelters and other city services , months after Texas began ferrying migrants to the location they say caused the global crisis.
Bowser called the migrant issue « significant » and said she was calling for a coordinated federal response, further claiming that migrants were being « tricked » into boarding buses bound for Washington.
Earlier this year, video circulated showing buses arriving from Texas and disembarking passengers on Massachusetts Avenue near Capitol Hill.
Fox News host Pete Hegseth said it’s ironic that Bowser is calling for a coordinated response from the Biden administration, when that’s what Republicans have been calling for since he took office and has undermined Donald Trump’s border security policies:

« I wanted Greg Abbott to declare an invasion that constitutionally gives the State of Texas additional powers. And I downplayed what he was doing by ferrying illegals to DC; I think I was wrong about that » , did he declare.
« They’re not deceived. They’re being asked. They’re volunteering to go to Washington, D.C. as a result. Now they’re flooded with swamps. And she admits what we’ve always known about big-city left elitists » , Hegseth added, saying the admission is that the « elite » class want the rest of America to suffer from their policy decisions, « as long as they’re in somebody else’s backyard, not ours ».
Hegseth wondered aloud if Bowser now understood the true plight of officials in New Mexico, Texas and Arizona, where migrants have illegally entered en masse from Mexico for years.
« It’s one of the best examples we’ve seen of the double standard they live in. She just said it on TV for us, » he said.

Trump’s former Assistant Treasury Secretary Monica Crowley echoed Hegseth, adding that Texas Governor Greg Abbott isn’t the only one trying to redirect illegal migrants to places where President Biden and the elite class will feel the repercussions of their political actions.
She pointed the finger at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who openly considered ferrying illegal immigrants to Delaware after « ghost flights » landed in Jacksonville and scattered migrants across the state.
Officials in other states are proposing similar measures, including Republican gubernatorial candidate for Pennsylvania, State Senator Doug Mastriano, who has touted a proposal that would collect international remittances sent by illegal immigrants and divert income to reduce property taxes.

« It’s a great way to deter illegal immigration and we can use this new revenue for tax breaks for legal citizens, » Mastriano, R-Franklin, told Fox News.
Pennsylvania State Senator Mario Scavello has drafted a plan he says was inspired by DeSantis to move migrants airlifted from the president’s hometown of Scranton to the president’s current hometown of Scranton. Wilmington and surrounding areas.
If ghost flights are « good enough for Pennsylvania, then why not redirect relocation to Delaware? » Scavello, R-Monroe, said in January.
