She said her sister, who had her child with her, discovered a phone hidden in an empty Tim Hortons coffee cup with crumpled fabric piled on top as camouflage.

Hasler wrote: “A disgusting human put this phone in a junk pile with a little hole for the camera and a cut out coffee cup as a stand. The phone was attached to a battery with the intention of filming for a significant amount of time.

The restaurant manager determined from security video that a man had brought the device into the bathroom earlier on September 22.

Police seized the cell phone as evidence and identified the suspect as Daniel St. Amour, 27, of Hamilton.

A warrant has been issued for St. Amour, who is also wanted on two counts of theft, two counts of possession, two counts of breach of probation and failure to appear in court.

Cops note that St. Amour is not employed by the Tim Hortons restaurant.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det.-Const. Lindsay Filice at 905-546-2921.
