After more than six months of war in Ukraine, does the Russian population still overwhelmingly support the work of their president?

According to a poll conducted by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion, 81% of Russians “trust” the work of Vladimir Putin, reports “TASS”, a Russian news agency.
1600 respondents aged 18 and over were asked about the work of the president between August 22 and 28, 2022.
Participants were also asked to comment on the work of the Russian president. 78% of those approve of his work, a drop of -0.3% from the previous week.
Polls conducted by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion are often criticized by opponents of the Russian regime, since this research center is funded by the Kremlin.
In February 2022, just before the start of the “military special operation”, 71% of Russians supported Putin’s work.
According to experts, the Russian propaganda which has intensified in recent months is responsible for the rise in support for the work of the master of the Kremlin.
