President Trump was committed to an event on Sunday to mark the 250th anniversary of the navy in Norfolk, Virginia, to “ensure that our soldiers are all the last cents” despite the government’s closure, which he called “Democrat”.
“Don’t worry,” Trump said. “Everything comes, it happens.”
The members of the active service service should miss their next pay checks on October 15 unless the legislators vote to reopen the government, or approve a measure separately to pay the army. The date is considered a possible lever point for the Republicans as they push to take off democratic support for a measure in order to maintain the funded government until November 21.
Mr. Trump said: “We have to take care of this little Moucheron who is on our shoulder, called the Democrats.”

The Senate is expected to be reconciled on Monday afternoon after having broken the weekend and should take votes on competing measures to finance the government after failing the 60 votes necessary for the fourth time last week.
The last series of procedural votes on duel bills comes after having failed to take new support during Friday votes. Republicans put pressure for a measure adopted by the government to maintain the government funded until November 21, while Democrats have a separate measure to finance the government until October which would also extend the health insurance tax credits, which has become the main demand of democrats in the funding struggle.
The Republicans argued that the negotiations on tax credits, which expire at the end of the year, can occur once the government will reopen, holding repeated votes to put pressure on the Democrats to support its measure to reopen the government.
With 53 Republicans in the upper room, the support of democrats is necessary to advance a measure to finance the government. When the bill sentenced to the House received a vote in the Senate for the first time, a single democrat crossed the aisle to support him. During the next vote, which came last week, two other senators crossed the aisle to support him. But since then, the Republicans have not been able to take off additional support from the Democrats in two other attempts.

Relatively few Americans say that the positions of Democrats or Republicans deserve a closure, according to a survey of CBS News published on Sunday.
For Democrats, only half of their ranks think that their party’s positions are worth closing, and even fewer Republicans say that GOP positions.
Global opinions and descriptors of the parties are not positive. Each generally has submarine favorability ratings, Republicans obtaining slightly better notes than Democrats.

Congress leaders exchanged the blame for the government’s closure on Sunday as the deadlock on how to reopen the government has extended to another week without progress in negotiations.
Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, said on Sunday on “Face The Nation with Margaret Brennan” that “The Chamber did its job” by passing a measure last month which would finance the government until November 21, saying that the reason why Les Républicains de la Chambre would remain in their districts this week is “because we did”.
“I pray that more democrats in the Senate come back to their minds and do the right thing, and when they will have the next opportunity on Monday to vote to open the government. I hope they will do it,” said Johnson.
