United Steelworkers leader pledges to organize clean energy, electric car and retail industries

LAS VEGAS — The head of the United Steelworkers union pledged Monday to sue employees in the clean energy, electric car and retail sectors as it adjusts to a workforce evolving.

USW leader Thomas Conway told an audience of about 3,500 union members and retirees at his annual convention that he will train more organizers and attract traditional and new industry workers. (Reporting by Erwin Seba in Las Vegas)
