Trump’s annual physical event will take place Friday at Walter Reed

President Donald Trump is scheduled to undergo an annual physical exam at Walter Reed before a possible trip to the Middle East this weekend.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a statement Wednesday evening announcing the review.

“Friday morning, President Trump will travel to Walter Reed Medical Center for a scheduled meeting and remarks with the troops. While there, President Trump will stop for his routine annual checkup. He will then return to the White House. President Trump plans to travel to the Middle East shortly thereafter,” Leavitt said.

Trump received a clean bill of health during his last physical exam in April. The president’s physician, Capt. Sean Barbabella, wrote at the time: “President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function. »

“His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his physical well-being. President Trump’s days include attending multiple meetings, public appearances, being in the press, and frequent victories in golf events,” Barbabella noted.

He added that the president “demonstrates excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully capable of performing” his duties as president.

As Leavitt noted, Trump could have a busy weekend with a possible trip to the Middle East now that Hamas and Israel have both agreed to the first phase of his proposed peace plan.

“Well, it’s been a great time for Israel and the Middle East, and I’ll probably go back Sunday, Sunday night,” Trump said. New York Post during a telephone interview Thursday morning.

“And I think you’ll see some great things happen next week. It’s been an incredible time. The whole world has come together, but the Middle East has come together for the first time in 3,000 years,” he added.

Trump said Wednesday before the deal that he would likely visit Egypt.

“This is where everyone is gathered right now, and we really appreciate it. But I’ll do the rounds, as they say,” he said.
