Trump criticizes the NFL “Folle” about the part-time show of Bad Bunny Super Bowl

Addressing Greg Kelly from Newsmax on Monday evening, Trump said that he had “never heard of Bad Bunny. “I don’t know who he is, I don’t know why they are doing that-it’s like crazy,” he said. “They reject the fault on a promoter whom they hired to offer entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”

He then criticized the ruler of the league, which he long ridden, deeming her “ridiculous”.

Bad Bunny, meanwhile, did not seem disturbed by the negative reaction, mocking his criticisms in a Spanish monologue on Saturday Night Live this weekend. “If you have not understood what I just said, you have four months to learn,” he said.

The rapper and singer, who supported Democratic candidate Kamala Harris before the 2024 presidential election and is one of the most listened to the world, excluded the United States from his next world tour, fearing that the immigration authorities would target his performances. Porto Rico is an American territory and Bad Bunny is an American citizen.

This is not the first time that politics collided with the half-time show. During the representation of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez in 2020, Lopez was wrapped in a Puerto Rican flag and released the children of the light cages, a decision which was interpreted as a protest against the policy of separation of the children of the Trump administration.
