Trudeau will visit Port Aux Basque, NL. Wednesday following Fiona

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will travel to Port Aux Basque, Newfoundland and Labrador, on Wednesday following post-tropical storm Fiona.
His visit was confirmed in his diary, made public on Tuesday evening. Trudeau had previously promised to visit the region but did not specify when. He canceled a visit to Japan for the funeral of former prime minister Shinzo Abe to stay in Canada as the east coast was battered by the storm.

Trudeau began a visit Tuesday to the areas hardest hit by the storm, including the Stanley Bridge in Prince Edward Island, as well as Glace Bay and Sydney in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

The federal government has sent up to 450 troops to affected areas of Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia to help with their recovery. Port Aux Basque, NL, was hit hard by Fiona, with homes submerged in the sea as the storm grew.
