Ottawa police issued about 30 provincial offense notices Friday night as part of a two-stop RIDE program beginning on Albert Street and then moving to the west end.
Violations included speeding tickets, unnecessary noise, no silencer, failure to stop at a red light, failure to yield to pedestrians, as well as a number of document violations.
In addition, the traffic unit filed several charges requiring court appearances, including driving with suspension, misuse of plates and improper license.
The operation was under the umbrella of the department’s Noisemaker project, which aimed to tackle speeding and excessive noise.
