TORONTO, Nov. 11, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Charmy Pet™a pet nutrition start-up from Toronto, Canada, secured a CA$100,000 investment from a successful Canadian trade show, The dragon’s lair (Canadian version of Shark Tank). New co-founders Zach Sheng and Senia Wang secured CA$100,000 for a 25% share with Canadian venture capitalist Manjit Minhas, the co-founder of one of Canada’s largest liquor producers, Minhas Craft Brewery .

Charmy products are available at over 600 retailers in Eastern Canada, including Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. After securing the $100,000 investment and receiving key business advice on Dragons’ Den, Charmy plans to expand her brand to more retail shelves. The company is also looking to invest in research and development to launch its new « When East Meets West » plant-based pet food line.
