-back of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers answered two questions on the subject, for just under two minutes.
Without delving into specifics and referring directly to his ex-wife, Brady instead chose to compare his situation to that anyone else has gone through, even in other, less public spheres.
“There are several professionals in life who have to go through things at work and at home. The good news is that the situation is very friendly and I’m really focused on two aspects. To take care of my family and certainly of my children. Second, do the best job you can to win football games,” he said.
home and work
Without asking him directly if his divorce affected his game, Jim Gray instead questioned Brady on whether it was difficult for him to compartmentalize his personal life and football.
The famous couple lent themselves to the games of the photographers on the red carpet of the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, in 2017.
“That’s what professionals do. You focus on work when it’s time to work. Then when you get home, you focus on the priorities at home. You can only do your best. That’s what I’m going to keep doing as long as I’m going to work and I’m a dad,” he replied.
“I had to deal with all kinds of difficult situations in 23 years, on and off the field.
“Everyone has their challenges. We are all human. We are all doing our best. I have amazing parents who taught me the right way to do things. I want to be a good dad to my kids and do the right things too. »
It’s hard not to make a connection between the divorce of Brady and Bündchen, who had been married since 2009, and the season which is not going smoothly.
The Buccaneers show a record of three wins and five losses. As a starting quarterback in the NFL since 2001, Brady has never ended up with such a record.
The star quarterback and his wife looked in love as they arrived at the Met Gala, presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, in 2019.
The Buccaneers have lost five of their last six games, something the legendary 45-year-old has never experienced either.
“Losing sucks. But no one feels bad for the Bucs. We know it and we have to change the situation, ”Brady mentioned to this effect.
Brady and Bündchen have a now 12-year-old boy, Benjamin, and a 9-year-old girl, Vivian.
The athlete also has another 15-year-old son, Jack, from a previous union with actress Bridget Moynahan.
