Many people were surprised to see CAQ MP Shirley Dorismond distribute – with a big smile – Canadian flags during the “most best country in the world” celebration.

Ditto for the CAQ’s decision to seek out former Conservative candidate Pascale Déry to defend her colors in Repentigny in the next election.

On June 18, 2015, Mr. Charette said that the Mouvement national des Québécois should be withdrawn from the organization of the national holiday.

Not only that, but Mr. Charette finds that the July 1st celebrations are not political!

It must be said that it is the same Benoit Charette who, as TVA Nouvelles pointed out on May 15, 2019, « has subsidized the Canada Day organizing committee in his corner on more than one occasion… »
