Amazon has plenty of great deals during October Prime Day, but can’t compete with Dell when it comes to selling the Alienware AW2725Q. The 27-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor only a few Edge Staffers have been testing the price right now, which is $699.99, which is $200 less than its original price of $899.99. It has sold for a similar price before, but discounts have been few and far between in recent months.

I love this monitor (I posted a review earlier this year on Polygon). My colleague Nathan Edwards digs it too, recently posting about how switching to a high refresh rate 240Hz OLED can really spoil you. I can attest to this; it was a bit heartbreaking to go back to my 1080p IPS panels after returning the AW2725Q to Alienware.

This Alienware monitor made waves in early 2025 by proving that companies could offer a 4K OLED for less than $1,000. It wasn’t that long ago that 1440p was the standard at this price point. Whether or not you have a PC capable of playing games in 4K at respectable frame rates, it’s good to have a monitor ready to play high-resolution content when you upgrade your PC. Additionally, you can connect a console like a PS5, Xbox Series
