Since his early years, the now 60-year-old with calloused hands has been working tirelessly to cultivate his 600 vines of olive tomatoes, eggplants and even a few vines. But now is the time to hand over and find a buyer. So as not to remain the last forever.

They created the first perfume for people with no sense of smell

She smells no odor; he creates perfumes: from their meeting was born the first perfume for anosmics. Emmanuelle Dancourt, born without an olfactory bulb, proposed this singular challenge to Ugo Charron, junior perfumer at the French perfumery leader, Mane, in New York, after having interviewed him for his podcast « nose less » at the summer 2021.
Their challenge thrilled the World Congress of Perfumers. This niche perfume will eventually be produced in thousands of copies and part of the profits will be donated to the benefit of research on anosmia.

A lightning hunter, the Jura photographer Nicolas Gascard has decided to make lightning speak…at Fort l’Écluse, on the border of Jura and Ain, the winner of the René-Desmaison literary prize and the Nature Awards Photography in 2017 designed a unique museum, where giant photographs, totems and visual and sound effects plunge you into the heart of the storm.

Unusual: buttocks in the air, they cycled from Lyon to Miribel-Jonage
About thirty cyclists rode, the attributes in the wind, last Sunday as part of the World Naked Bike Ride France. Leaving Villeurbanne around 2:30 p.m., they headed for La Mama, a naturist beach in the Grand Parc Miribel-Jonage (Ain), before returning to Lyon.
Organized from July 14 to August 4, between Rennes and Paris, in 16 stages, the cyclonue aims to defend the use of bicycles, their users and the planet.

Jura: a Saint-Claude diamond sold for 36,000 euros at auction

He was the star of the Saint-Désiré sale, offered each year by the Lons-le-Saunier auction house: a 3.76-carat diamond was sold for 36,000 euros to a foreign buyer (to which are added some 8000 euros in taxes).
It was a family of diamond dealers from Saint-Claude who wanted to part with this precious stone as part of a succession. “A gentleman had offered it to his wife, who died,” explains Brigitte Fenaux, auctioneer.

Hemp concrete school: a regional first in Villeurbanne
From the outside, it doesn’t look like much. And yet, the new building of the Saint-Exupéry kindergarten in Villeurbanne (Rhône) offers a real breath of fresh air. “During the June heat wave, we saw a real difference between the extension and the rest of the school: we had a two to three degree difference,” says a City agent.
This is the first ERP (establishment open to the public) in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to be built with a wooden frame filled with hemp concrete. A biosourced material obtained through a mixture of lime and hemp and which offers excellent thermal regulation.
