The Stars dazzle the Kraken

Joe Pavelski was on every goal, scoring twice in the Stars’ 5-2 win over the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday in Dallas.

The veteran is having a great time right now, having collected at least one point in his most recent seven outings. He totaled seven goals and 13 points during that streak. The Stars certainly benefit, having won five of those meetings.

Jason Robertson does even better, having also hit the target in addition to getting an assist. He has blackened the scoresheet in his last eight games. Roope Hintz was the first goalscorer for the Texan team, while Jani Hakanpaa scored his third goal in 93 National League games while taking advantage of an empty cage.

Jake Oettinger made 23 saves. Both Calle Jarnkrok and Jared McCann beat him, but it wasn’t enough for the visitors to avoid the seventh straight loss.

Philipp Grubauer has given up four times in 24 shots. He nevertheless ended the duel on a high note by depriving Pavelski of a hat trick with a miraculous save in the final seconds.
