The singer Folk Maithili Thakur likely to challenge the Bihar elections: what she said

Before the elections of the Bihar Assembly, renowned folk singer Maithili Thakur expressed her desire to make her political debut from her hometown of Benipatti in the district of Madhubani. The 25-year-old singer said on Tuesday that although there was no official announcement, she feels a special link with her village and would like to start her political career there.

Speaking with journalists, she said: “I would like to participate in my origin district … My village, if I gave her a ballot. I have a special link with this place. ”

Thakur, who was here to perform at the Narmada Mahotsav, also talked about his district of the favorite Assembly. She said: “There has not yet been an official announcement, but I would like to go to the region of my village because I have a special link with him.”

“From there, I will also give myself a chance to learn. To meet people, talk to them … I will understand more if I start my village,” said the singer.

In response to another question on the elections of the Bihar assembly, Thakur said that it was willing to contribute in any way possible to the country’s progress.

Recently, she met the national secretary general of the BJP and the organization of the Bihar in responsibility Vinod Tawde and the Minister of the Union Nityanand Rai, which aroused speculation according to which she could challenge the next

Bihar assembly elections. Thakur said they had spoken of a variety of subjects relating to the future of the Bihar during their discussion.

On Sunday, Tawde also shared photos on X of their meeting, saying that the singer and her family had left Bihar in 1995 during the mandate of Lalu Prasad Yadav. He added that the “girl” now wanted to come back after witnessing state progress.

“Today, the Minister of State of the Union at Home @nityanandraibjp Ji and I have urged him that for the inhabitants of Bihar and for the development of Bihar, his contribution is expected by the ordinary man of the Bihar and that she meets their expectations. Thakur, who was born in Benipatti, the Madhubani district of Bihar, a musician father of Maithili, made a name for himself in music when she was 11 years old in 2011 and has been active since.

Vinod Narayan Jha, head of the BJP and former minister, currently represents Benipatti in the assembly of Bihar.

In 2020, the 68 -year -old BJP chief defeated the candidate of the Bhavana Congress Jha by more than 30,000 votes in this seat dominated by the Brahmans.

The elections in the Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with votes counted on November 14.
