The Quebec Foundation for Athlete Excellence becomes Aléo
MONTREAL — The Quebec Foundation for Athlete Excellence will pursue its vocation, but will change its name to become the Aléo Foundation.
This was announced by the organization, which has been helping student-athletes in the province for nearly 40 years, early Tuesday evening.
Founded in 1985, the FAEQ has awarded more than $20 million in scholarships to nearly 4,000 distinguished student-athletes from across Quebec. It is in order to clarify the mission of the organization which aims to propel the athlete beyond the sport that it decided to change its name.
In addition to continuing to award scholarships and support services to the leaders of tomorrow, it is confirming its personalized approach where the overall fulfillment and well-being in the performance of its scholarship holders are at the center of its shares.
