The opinion, dated October 6, 2025, alleges the non-payment or the short-term appeal of the tax on goods and services (TPS) by the subsidiary. According to the SCN, the company was invited to show a cause before the additional commissioner / spouse, CGST & Central excise, Mumbai East Commissionrate, within 30 days, explaining why the TPS rising to 153.60 Sterling books, as well as an equivalent penalty and applicable interests, should not be requested under section 74 (1) other relevant provisions.

In its disclosure to exchanges, Prestige Estates said that on the basis of its evaluation, the request is not maintained. The company said it evaluated the issue and would take the appropriate measures in response to the opinion. Prestige Estates has also specified that it does not expect a significant impact on its financial activities, operations or other commercial activities due to the opinion.
