Deputies and senators accepted, Wednesday, October 26, the appointment of Luc Rémont to the presidency of EDF, proposed by the Elysée. During his hearing, the former number two of Schneider Electric explained that his priority will be the operational performance of the company, soon to be renationalised, with the revival of nuclear production. « In this context of energy crisis, EDF is itself going through a serious crisis, of a technical and industrial nature, which is accentuating the tension on the energy supply », he explained, calling on the French to consume less electricity to avoid the risk of load shedding “this winter and the following ones”.
