The moment of the crash of a Russian fighter plane filmed – RT Russia and the former Soviet Union

Videos have emerged showing the moment a Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashed into a two-storey house in the southern Siberian city of Irkutsk on Sunday. This is the second such incident in Russia this week.

The dashcam footage was posted on Russian Telegram channel Mash.

The video shows a bright flash of the explosion and a thick cloud of smoke.

Another video emerged on social media shortly after showing the incident from a different angle, from which the plane can be seen nose diving and exploding on impact.

According to the country’s Emergencies Ministry, the plane was on a test flight when it crashed. Officials said both pilots died and there were no other casualties.

Irkutsk region governor Igor Kobzev wrote on his Telegram channel that fire crews and other first responders were working at the crash site.

The incident came just days after a malfunctioning Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed outside a building in the southern Russian city of Yeysk on Monday, killing 15 people.
