‘The Flash’ Star Ezra Miller Says He Has Mental Health Issues

Ezra Miller, star of the next Warner Bros. superhero film, « The Flash », announced on Tuesday that he suffers from mental health problems and has started treatment after several arrests by the police.

« Having recently gone through a period of intense crisis, I now understand that I suffer from complex mental health problems and have started to undergo treatment, » the artist said in a statement sent to AFP by his representatives. .

Ezra Miller, 29, who previously played the character ‘Flash’ in several big productions like ‘Justice League’, was charged with burglary in early August in Vermont, and public disorder after two arrests in Hawaii.

These incidents — and allegations of a physical confrontation with a woman in Iceland that did not result in a complaint — have raised questions about the future of the movie « Flash » and, beyond that, its career.

« I want to apologize to all those I have been able to worry and upset by my past behavior », adds the press release, in which the incarnation of the « Flash » also ensures that he wants to « do the work necessary to reconnect with a period healthy, secure and productive of (his) life”.

Despite these controversies, Warner Bros. recently confirmed plans to air “The Flash,” slated for next summer.

The shooting of the film, whose budget is estimated at 200 million dollars, has already been completed.

Ezra Miller had enjoyed early success with his roles in hit dramas like « Afterschool, » « We Need to Talk About Kevin, » and « Charlie’s World. »
