Before the assembly elections, the Bihar electoral director announced on social networks, marking the India electoral commission.
“In the light of a special intensive revision, the final electoral role was published on 30.09. 2025. People can seek their names by clicking on the voters.eci.gov.in link,” said the social media post.
The CEO did not mention the details of the last electoral role in the state.
The revision process, initiated in July, aimed to remove the foreign and illegal entrances from electoral roles.
The exercise was conducted with the help of more than 77,000 stand level officers (Blo), nearly 3,000 assistant officers and more than 1.6 stand agents (BLAs) representing all the main political parties.
However, the exercise was faced with the criticism of the opposition parties. Congress head, Rahul Gandhi, said that irregularities occurred during the revision process.
The EC, on the other hand, has rejected any allegation of bias, stressing that he treats all parties equally and that the exercise is not in favor.
The case is also under the control of the Supreme Court, which hears a petition contesting the SIR. The court noted that if illegality is detected in the methodology followed by the CE during the revision, the entire year could be invalidated.
