The display panel supporting the injured Deshler student has set up anonymously

Tuscumbia, ala. (WHNT) – It’s been six weeks since August Borden, 15, has suffered serious injuries when he was on school at the DESHLER high school.

The family, friends and residents of the Shoals community continue to express their support in Borden, even anonymously, through a large digital display panel standing on the road to the state 13 in the county of Colbert.

Mary Margaret Holmes, a mother of Deshler high school, is also good friends with the family in August, and she said to News 19 what the display panel means for her.

“It just shows that they have community support, which is so important, and as a family home, and knowing August and knowing what it is fantastic, that for me is simply wonderful,” said Holmes.

The display panel has been paid for and implemented anonymously.

“It just shows us that there are people, even anonymous people, because we do not know, I don’t know who has done it, who loves the family and that they want a resolution, what we all want is a good resolution and a good healing,” said Holmes.

Holmes said that August was much better.

The County officials of Colbert fell back from the investigation into Borden’s injuries. The Bureau of the Comté de Madison and the Probation Office of Minors from the County of Franklin manage it.
