The chief of the Rameshwar Dudi congress died at 62

Rameshwar Lal Dudi, head of the Congress and former deputy for Bikaner, died on Saturday. He was 62 years old.

DUDI underwent a brain hemorrhage (AVC) in August 2023, which has left him in a coma for about two years, reported the news agency Ani.

The deputy of Baytu Harish Choudhary shared the heartbreaking news on X (formerly Twitter). He said: “The disappearance of Ramehwar Dudi is extremely painful and unhappy for all of us. May God give the missing soul a place to his holy feet and gives strength to the bereaved family to endure this sorrow. The disappearance of Dudi Sahab is an irreparable loss for the whole state.”

The former Rajasthan chief minister, Ashok Gehlot, called the “extremely heartbreaking” news and said it was a significant loss for the congress family.

“The death of the former opposition chief and deputy of Bikaner, Shri Rameshwar Dudi … is a personal shock for me,” said Gehlot.

Who was Ramehwar Dudi?

Rameshwar Dudi was born in Biramsar, Bikaner, on July 1, 1963. He held several positions during his career for several decades: first as a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in the constituency of Nokha, then as a member of the Lok Sabha (Parliament) of Bikaner from 1999 to 2004.

In 1995, he began his political career in Nokha as Pradhan of the Panchayat Samiti. Later, he became the head of the Zila Parishad district in Bikaner. He was the head of the opposition to the Rajasthan Assembly from 2013 to 2018.

The wife of Ramehwar Dudi, Sushila Dudi, is currently a deputy for Nokha.
