The blues pass through the door of the Salle Pauline-Julien

On October 15, the duo The Two will bring their atypical musical background that mixes, among other things, 1920s blues and Creole sounds to Salle Pauline-Julien. It is the term « mixed blues » that they have chosen to characterize their unique style.

The group made up of “the Swiss Thierry Jaccard and the Mauritian Yannick Nanette” is used to performing a blues that often goes off the beaten track of melancholy. Their « notes resonate with positive waves and it is many smiles that light up the faces of the two musicians on stage ».

With two albums, Crossed Souls and Sweet Dirty Blues, the duo performed on prestigious stages, notably at the Montreux Jazz Festival, opening for late rocker Johnny Hallyday.

Their visit to Sainte-Geneviève marks the only stop on the island of Montreal on their tour, which includes five stops in Quebec.
