Tesla Posted a Teaser video on X Speculations Speculations according to which the electric manufacturer could prepare to publish a new car.
The first video published on Sunday shows a rotation component which, according to many online, could be an internal element of a vehicle. The video ends with the numbers “10/7”, indicating the date of Tuesday.
A second video published on Sunday shows only the headlights of a car.
Teasers sparked an online conversation and among analysts about what Tesla does – and two theories have emerged.
The first is that it could be the new generation roadster vehicle that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been promising for years.
The second is that Tesla could be about to reveal a long -awaited mass market model.
Musk teased the new generation roadster concept during an event in November 2017 and June 2018 in a series of tweets.
The billionaire has since excited the vehicle several times and, in September, said on x That “the new roadster is something special beyond a car”.
Musk has a history of promising things that are not delivered or take much more time than it said.
Meanwhile, Tesla said that a cheaper mass market car will arrive on the market this year. However, Musk has confirmed that this lower cost offer will actually be a deactivated Y model.
For investors, a mass market model is considered the key to revitalize Tesla sales. While Tesla said a jumper of car deliveries in the third quarter of the year, this was awarded to a print forward due to the expiration of a federal tax credit. During the previous quarter, Tesla reported a drop in delivery.
The company has experienced a continuous collapse of sales in Europe, and it continues to deal with strong competition in China, another key market, local players like Byd who are also developing abroad.
Chinese players have launched low -cost offers in Europe and elsewhere exerting more pressure on Tesla to publish a model on around $ 25,000 at $ 30,000.
