Following the infamyus – and later revealed to be edited – telephone leaked 2016 call between Kanye and Taylor over a reference he made to her on his Pablo’s life album, Taylor subtly clapped back at the former married couple on several occasions.
As recently as 2024, Taylor wrote “thank you aIMee,” likely about Kim, given that she capitalized the letters in the track’s title to spell her name. (In another variation of TTP album, she changed the letters to capitalize “YE” in the song, like an apparent nudege against the rapper.)
Before TTPTaylor also sprinkled shots at Kim and Kanye for the “Famous” feud, with “Mad Woman,” on folklore, where she sings: “Women like to hunt witches too / Doing your dirty work for you / It’s obvious that wanting me dead really brought you together.” »
Taylor is her first Reputation The single “Look What You Made Me Do” was also a nod to the public fallout, as was “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” in which she sings about a once-repaired friendship fracturing again.
