Hey guys, did you hear that Taylor Swift had struck someone to death? Wait, what? Oh, has she just released an album? My fault. I thought, given the tone of some of the reactions, that she had committed an odious crime.

By nature of your click on this article, you probably know that Ms. Swift released an album called The life of a showgirl Friday. However, before I went out, I was strangely nervous. Nervous in a way that I am not with regard to other artists I love. Nervous due to the storm of reaction which he was required to provoke, whatever his quality.

And now, my fears were far from unfounded. People have put themselves in four to declare with sufficiency how long a 40 -minute harmless pop record was a crime in their ears. Taylor’s new work was called “Naval Gazing” and his album A “Corvée without charm” in the pages of opinion, with a review of a star deplores for the Folklore Days and call him a “Album of parody hallucinated by an AI at addiction of porn”. People are invited to have their serious criticisms, but the end of certain criticisms asked me if we have listened to the same album.
I would humbly say that the narration on “Ruin The Friendship” is tied with the best songs of his career.
But Taylor’s criticisms were never solely based on his music. Case and point: Reputationa spiritual predecessor of Tloas In many ways, many have been mentioned, only for publications as consequences to write later: “Taylor Swift of 2017 deserved the media as a whole, and this album deserves a much better score. Time has proven it. ” Right now, Taylor is overexposed and made Also GOOD. The speech that surrounds it has always presented a fairly incredibly high expectations mirror in society. I only want it to be done in real time, rather than retrospectively.

Much of this is demonstrated with the reception at “really romantic”, a song widely perceived as a dissident track intended for Charli XCX. Pitchfork called the track “Décingy”, “Mean” and “Dumb” in a journal dedicated to the track (although this is not one). In this speech, Charli, one of the most openly shitty pop women, was cropped like a kind of precious flower stride by the powerful heels of Mrs. Swift, a catch that I imagine that she finds somewhat infantilizing. The worst of the track is to call it a “tiny chihuahua”. Remember when Kendrick Lamar played a song calling Drake a pedophile at the Super Bowl?
I would not write this if there was no version that happened whenever something beloved by women and girls reached stratospheric heights. Of Dusk panic Fifty shades of gray Speech, there is a level of examination given to pop culture which dares to be fun and for women who simply do not exist on the other side of the genre line. It’s more than just a criticism; It is a media reaction complex. Currently, Sabrina Carpenter is the day-of-the-day, but I will not take time for that. Don’t girlboss too close to the sun, ladies!
