LOS ANGELES — Brandon Tanev gave the team the lead early in the second period and the Seattle Kraken rallied to beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 on Thursday night.

Jaden Schwartz, Alex Wennberg and Adam Larsson also blacked out the scoresheet for the Kraken.

Martin Jones made 28 saves for Seattle, which squandered a two-goal lead in the third period to fall 5-4 in overtime to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night.

Alex Iafallo scored the only goal for the Kings, who lost their first two outings of the campaign. Jonathan Quick stopped 18 shots.

Tanev, who played just 30 games last season due to a knee injury, scored his first goal in 11 career games against the Kings. He won possession of the puck and eluded Quick’s vigilance with a good wrist shot.

Seven minutes later, Wennberg gave the Kraken a two-goal lead when he completed Matthew Beniers’ set-up. Larsson sealed the outcome of the encounter in an empty net.
