Sydney Sweeney slams ‘disappointing’ story for not being paid enough to take 6-month break from acting: ‘It was taken out of context’

Sydney Sweeney is setting the record straight on these stories that she couldn’t afford to take a six-month break.
In July, outlets covered Sweeney’s The Hollywood Reporter cites that she can’t take much time off.

The ‘Euphoria’ actress insisted, « I was asked if I wanted to start a family and I said ‘yes’. And then they asked me why I didn’t have one yet, and I thought. said, ‘I don’t even have time to take a six-month break.’
« Like, I don’t have time to be able to start this family. I’m working so much and focusing on it right now. And so it was kind of biased with the audience and taken out of context, which was crazy to watch and kinda disappointing too, because i think being a mom and a working mom is really important.
« I really want to achieve this one day. So I was disappointed that people took my words and changed them. [to serve] their own agenda.

Sweeney was quoted as saying at the time, « If I wanted to take a six month break, I don’t have any income to cover that.
“I have no one to support me. They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers you don’t get residuals anymore. Established stars still get paid, but I have to give my lawyer 5%, my agents 10%, my CEO 3% or something. I have to pay my publicist every month and that’s more than my mortgage.
