Suspected burglar killed in North York apartment plunge

A suspected police man may have tried to break into a North York apartment building plunged to death at the start of Christmas Day.

According to Toronto police, the man fell from the balcony of the apartment.

Emergency personnel were called around 5:10 a.m. to the building on Antibes Dr. – near Bathurst Street and Finch Avenue W.

Police say they received reports that the suspected burglar broke into an apartment and then tried to gain access to a nearby unit through the balcony.

It is believed he fell in the process and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Few details were immediately released and the identity of the victim was not made public.
