Student found with a pistol in Alabama high school

Springville, ala. (Wiat) – Police responded to a student who brought a firearm to Springville High School after allegedly threatened to commit suicide.

According to the Springville police department, a call arrived around 7:13 am on Tuesday, allegedly of a student who said she was suicidal and had a firearm. The school student resources agent then responded to the scene, meeting the student in the dining room, where she had the weapon in her backpack.

The ministry said that the weapon had been taken without any problem and that no one was injured. The student has since been taken to the children of Alabama in Birmingham.

The SPD is investigating the case.
