Stock futures outperformed the data

US stock futures edged higher, suggesting major indices will hold onto last week’s gains amid more muted expectations of interest rate hikes going forward.

S&P 500 futures gained 0.6% and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 0.3%. Changes in stock futures do not necessarily predict market movements after the opening bell.
