Mathieu chose to sing Upright by teacher Ariane Moffatt, who will be seen again this season for musical creation workshops. A great surprise

Fan of Star Academy from her youngest age, whom she watched at the time with her grandparents, Camélia completely overwhelmed Guylaine Tremblay, who was quite moved at the end of her performance. For her part, the director said she would wait until she was at the Academy to give him her comments. Camélia is therefore guaranteed to sleep in Waterloo next week.

Edward is no stranger, as he was semi-finalist of Alex Nevsky’s team at The voice in 2018. His sensitive and warm interpretation of Dream better obviously convinced the teachers.

Two endearing guys

Jacques is a 24-year-old Montreal cabinetmaker who wants to improve the content of his musical toolbox. All was not perfect in his interpretation of Punchline, but Guylaine Tremblay told him he still had a few days to practice before the first Variety.

Finally, New Brunswicker Olivier took part in the selection camp last year, but he was unfortunately not selected. This year, he tried his luck again by performing Jenny by Richard Desjardins. His conviction and his aplomb raised the audience with a leap. “You moved me deeply, and when the audience stands up, it doesn’t lie,” Lara Fabian concluded.
