MOSCOW (Reuters) – President Vladimir Putin stated on Thursday at his annual phone-in that Vitaly Mutko, who oversaw sport on the top of Russia’s doping scandal, had considerably contributed to sport in Russia.

Mutko, sports activities minister till 2016, after which in control of sport as deputy prime minister, was final month made a deputy prime minister overseeing development.
