Some of my favorite 4K Blu-rays are half price for October Prime Day

Movie streaming services are great, but as their respective libraries and monthly prices change, nothing compares to playing 4K Blu-rays of your favorite movies whenever you want. If you’re looking to add a few titles to your collection, several big movies and box sets are selling at the lowest prices of the year, and some of our favorites are under $20. Unsurprisingly, many of the films we’ve included below will be perfect for pushing your entertainment center to its limits. These big price drops are the result of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, a two-day sales event set to expire at 3:00 a.m. ET / 12:00 a.m. PT tonight.

If you don’t have a 4K Blu-ray player, well, you’ll need one. You can use the disc drive on an Xbox Series Panasonic’s UB820-K is widely considered the best 4K Blu-ray player under $500 and the most feature-rich. I have the model just below in terms of capabilities, the $299.99 UB420-K, which does not have Dolby Vision (yes, Dolby Vision support adds that at full price).
