Federal health officials late Monday on Monday, people warned of certain hillo fresh Fresh subscription meal kits containing spinach which can be contaminated by Listeria.
The Department of American Agriculture has published a public health alert for meals, which were produced by Freshrealm, the company based in San Clemente, California, linked to an expansion epidemic linked to heat and eating meals.
Products include containers of 10.1 ounces of fresh ready feeds meal prepared pasta with effiloche pork pepper and containers of 10 ounces of fresses Fresh Ready Made Poippers with chopped turkey. Both were sent directly to consumers.

The problem was discovered when Freshrealm informed the USDA security and food inspection service that spinach used in positive tested products for Listeria bacteria.

Last month, Freshrealm said the tests confirmed that the pasta used in Linguine dishes sold in Walmart contained The same strain of Listeria linked to an epidemic in June. Listeria infections can cause serious illnesses, especially in the elderly, people with weakened immune systems and pregnant women or their newborns. Symptoms include fever, muscle pain, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.
About 1,600 people fall sick each year from Listeria infections and around 260 die, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Federal officials said in December that they reorganized protocols to prevent Listeria infections after several high -level epidemics, including a linked to Boar’s Head charcuterie meats This led to 10 deaths and more than 60 diseases last year.
