SIU Investigating John Street South Crash in Hamilton

Hamilton Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that shut off John Street South in the Corktown neighborhood of Hamilton, three blocks north of St. Joseph’s Hospital.
In a tweet Monday morning, police say Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit invoked their warrant.
The SIU investigates incidents involving police in Ontario where a person is seriously injured or killed.
Emergency crews were called to a collision in the John Street South area of Young Street at 10:53 p.m. on Sunday September 25.
A photograph from the scene shows a gang of police blocking the street between Young and Augusta while fire crews and a forensics van are also at the scene.
John Street South remains closed between Young and Augusta streets Monday morning.
