Sit Chief is investigating the TVK rally in Karur

The Siet led by IPS Superior Officer Asra Garg, led his probe on a jostling on Sunday during the Rally of TVK Vijay here on September 27 during which 41 people died and almost 60 years were injured.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) was created on the basis of the High Court of Madras order on October 3.

The SIT includes 11 police officers, including two police superintendents, among others, said Garg.

Earlier in the day, he visited the Vellusamypuram spots where the stampede took place.

Later, addressing journalists, he said: “The High Court of the Haute trained the Special Investigation Team (SIT). As you all see, we are investigating today by visiting the spots (where the incident has occurred). ” To a question, he said, apart from him, two police superintendents, an additional SP, two assistant police superintendents and five inspectors are part of the team.

“I cannot share other details today,” he said in his brief interaction with the media.

The police recorded a case against the driver of the actor’s campaign vehicle who became a politician Vijay as part of an accident that would have taken place on his way to his Karur rally on September 27, where a stampede then cost 41 lives and injured around 60 people.

Police said the Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) campaign bus from Vijay was also appointed to the FIR. The case concerns an incident during which several fans of the actor, leading motorcycles near the convoy to see him, would have met an accident involving the campaign vehicle.

A video allegedly showing that the incident has become viral on social networks and has been broadcast by several television channels, causing a generalized debate.
