CHARLOTTETOWN — Sergei Litvinov saved 42 pucks as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan defeated the Charlottetown Islanders 5-3 on Thursday night.
Litvinov faced his season-high shooting total and took the opportunity to end his two-game losing streak. The Russian had only one victory this season.
Jacob Melanson had two goals and an assist for the Titan, which has gone undefeated in regulation in its last four outings. Melanson had at least one point in every game during that streak.
Ben Allison, on two occasions, and Alexandre Lallier also moved the ropes in the victory. Montreal Canadiens prospect Riley Kidney was involved in two Titan goals.
Giovanni Morneau, Jarrett Todd and Jérémie Biakabutuka replied for the Islanders. Francesco Lapenna gave up four times on 31 shots.
Drillers 4 – Mooseheads 3
Alexandre Doucet had two goals and an assist as the Val-d’Or Foreurs beat the Halifax Mooseheads 4-3.
Sea Dogs 7 – Eagles 2
Thirteen of the Sea Dogs’ 18 players had at least one point and the Saint John team crushed the Cape Breton Eagles 7-2.
